Garden Toads?

last year I found 2 toads in garden pond and we had toadlets(?) anyway today I found a toad on path with a toad attached to her back...bless her she is still marching around garden with this toad attached to her back..I take it big one is female and lazy one is male. Now there is another one on the path and they are all squeaking at each other. Is the male going to hang on to her for ever..bless..she looks really fed up! Anyone know anything about toads?

i have lots of them in my pond and about 4 big clumps of spawn
in the night the toads start croaking it drives my mum crazy

If its clumps of spawn you have in your pond its frog spawn not toad spawn.Toads lay strings of spawn

thanks for reply..last year I thought it was fish eggs and got some out...when it hatched I put it back in quickly I knew they werent fry! just been and had a look and they have all disappeared again...trouble is I have to go out garden with dogs as they get spooky if they see toads. Little yorkie didnt like the one that had 2 bodies and 2 heads!

went to clean my pond out and the spawn has hatched. I take it the goldfish dont like the taste of them! OMG please dont say I am going to have loads of toads in my garden
