Galaxy Rasbora

I have had Brigitte rasboras end up in the filter, they are maybe a little slimmer than the galaxy ones, they all managed to survive their day in the filter (a big ehiem). A sponge cover on the intake solved the problem.

i've seen them other places at a fiver each so it's not an outlandish price, however i've also seen them, cheaper, but not significantly!

I have just got 10 of these over in belgium, so much cheaper than the UK, paid 32 euro's, which works out about £2.20 a fish. Had them for about 2 weeks now. Great little fish, mine eat Cyclops, but have tried few things everything else seems to be too big for them.

thanks guys, you have no idea how usefull all this info is, i promise when i know enough about fish i will try to help beginners... Since this topic is on a role, 1) What is this new fish 'efish' talks (the new rasbora), is it as colourfull as the galaxy.
2) what can i feed these fish. i was thinking i could sprinkle flakes into very small pieces for them???

If they accept flake, then bash the hell out of it with the handle of a spoon or similar to make it very fine. That's what I feed my dwarf rasboras with and its not to big for them.

we feed ours on a small pellet/powder 0.5mm and they love it, also small artemia they go mad for.

the new rasbora we are getting is Micro Rasbora CF Erythromicron

Have you got a picture or link for the 'Micro Rasbora CF Erythromicron', are they as colourfull as the galaxy ones?? Would you be able to provide some of the powder food if i bought some Galaxy Rasboras from you...

Ollie
There is no need to buy special powdered food for the Galaxys
All i do is to crunch the flaked foods up between my fingers

Thanks cardinal, i will feed them crushed up flakes. Anyone know anything about the new rasbora (efish), 'Micro Rasbora CF Erythromicron', pictures or links?? When will you be getting some in???

Ollie

Trimar are selling them at 10 for £25, and their delivery is a lot cheaper too. I trust Trimar to label their fish correctly online too, something I can't say about TF4U (no offence intended). :good:

Ive got 4 of these in a 7 US gallon tank, might get a couple more if these do ok, ive been feeding them on tetra baby food, is this ok? from what i can see its just like powdered tetra flake food, they eat it very readily.

Google is your friend ;)
