Just thought people might like to know that the Oxford Maidenhead Aquatics has a big shoal (+30) Galaxy Rasboras for sale at the moment. £5.25 each or 3 for £15, pretty reasonable by all accounts.

Crowland / Peterborough Maidenhead aquatics has these for sale too, but at £3.50 each / £20 for 6
Nice fish but not what i was expecting for some reason. Maybe i need a better look. Hopefully I'll be going back there in the next few days and will try remember the other microrasbora species they have

wildwoods in enfield has some too.
i was a bit disappointed with them, not as colourful as other small fish, and not as colourful as the picture made them out to be

but if there fresh deliverys the4y may well not be showing there best coulours especially as theyre probably wild caught aswell so not used to aquarium waters

Themuleous and i are meeting up tomorrow for a trip to enfield (among other stores). i'll let you know if they have any left and if the colours have improved. good spot Themuleous, makes a change to see something new.

If anyone buys any be sure to post us some pics bet they would look nice in planted aquariums maybe quite a few :) I'm fully stocked now otherwise I would be going for a look at them tomorrow

Wholesale Tropicals in Bethnal Green also have a fair quantity in at the moment. I can't remember the exact price, but they were definitely a whole lot cheaper than £5 + each :S They are also very pretty - but sadly not suitable for my tank.

Enjoy your day out you guys - let me know what the plec tanks are like at Wildwoods please ! and let us know what you came home with :fun: :good:

It's nice that you can enjoy these new fish in the UK. I've yet to see them in my neck of the woods. "Dwarf" platies are about as exotic as we get in Miami, FL, though I finally saw some nice double tail bettas a few days ago.

Don't go crazy now. A nerd's night out is pretty serious. Don't hurt yourselves.

Keep safe. :good:

llj
