Fish Herder
Hey guys! I have this large piece of driftwood that I found on the beach many years ago. Since it's so big, I soaked it in scalding hot water for a couple days, instead of boiling it. I put it in the 17 gallon with my livebearers, but decided that it didn't suit my tank set up, so I took it out. Well, now that I'm getting a couple kribs, (I already have one) I decided to put the driftwood back in to give it a little more natural look, and to lower the ph a tiny bit. The only problem is, now, there are these fluffy balls that are coming off of the driftwood, almost like the wood is shedding skin or something. It looks hideous, and is worrying me a little, to be honest.
Here's the best picture I could get, sorry, it's pretty bad.....
The stuff I'm talking about is that brown stuff stuck in between the plants.
Hope you can notice it. What is it?
Thanks in advance!
