Do you feed your fish frozen bloodworms? :)

I'm just asking, but how many cubes do you put in? (Please list your tank size/fishes)
Cause, well I found out that frozen was cheaper than dried, and better soo.. :)

I have a 29g, with a bala shark, two weather loaches, (cant find the girl, idk what happend to her.) two frogs, two swordtails, one gourami, three skirt tetras.

i do

i have 1 dwarf gourami 2 honey gouramies 6 neon tetras 7 bp tetras 4 synodontis multipunctatus 3 bn plecos

they get one cube every 2/3 days cause they dont include the other stuff fish need in their diets

most the fish are juvenile so there all in a 60 litre, the dwarf and the neons are adult but the rest are very young so they fit, ps dont worry they are being rehomed ( syno multis that is)
ps ur dragons look cool

Whoa! Expensive much?

Does two cubes, per two days sound good?
:S

@match : Thanks for the comment about my siggy.
:S I need a good picture of my girl frogg. Then I can put a nicer siggy. :)

I feed my fish frozen bloodworms, but I buy a large frozen brick type thing. Its a like a bag filled with bloodworms frozen into one big chuck. I hit it really aganist the couter to brake it into smaller peices. this tends to be cheaper than the cubes.

I use Ocean Nutrition. I doubt it matters much, what brand it is. Hikari makes them too. I had to look it up and they are called bloodworm flats. Here is a pic with a flat and a cube package. Flats are quite large and usually are close to a pound of bloodworms. I go through a little over 1 package a year. The hardest thing though is getting nice size bits to break off the big flat. You really have to pound on it to get it to break up.

I also store these double wrapped in the freezer to prevent freezer burn, since they last so long this is an important thing to do. The fish bags from the store work great for double wrapping.

Also I just noticed where you live. You might what to see if you can get them cheaper on-line. It's winter, so you will have no worries about them spoiling during shipment.

I have all cichlids so I put around 7 cubes in lol its all gone within minutes.

costy lol

lol not really, my mum buys a whole box (she has cichlids to) which has like 6 packets or something in it and it lasts roughly a month. well saying that I guess it is, probs like £100 a year on bloodworm lol.

i can go through a pack in one feeding with my smaller exodon shoal. and theyll still beg for more

Hi kevinthecow :)

It will just take a little experimentation to find out how much your fish will eat at one meal, just like you did when you started feeding them flake food.

I use Hikari bloodworms too. They are a good brand. The flat pack comes in various sizes and is a better buy than the cubes. It's best to defrost the portion you will be using before putting it in the tank because then you can get rid of the liquid that will come off them.

also, make sure youre not allergic to them. a lot of the packaging says not to touch the bloodworms. most people can handle them just fine, but some people will have a reaction if their skin comes into contact with them. if your allergic to mosquitoes, id suggest using gloves when handling bloodworms

Freezer burn?

Mines 5 dollars for 100g, for any. BBS, Bloodworms, brine, daphnia, etc.
:X
anyways, i was checking the brand, to see if I could find a similiar one 8-|
