Frogs(adf's)...and Food

I have recently purchased two ADF'S(african dwarf frogs) and for food frozen blood worms, which they like quite alot.My question is:

-When should i feed them?(every other day or every day?)
-how much should i feed them?
-and should i just feed them on bloodworms?

Hey Adam.
I have 2 ADFs and i hand feed them (important if you're tank has fish in as the ADFs wont get any). I give them 3 - 4 bloodworms each every other day (sometimes they will only eat 1 or 2), but sometimes i give them it everyday. I wouldnt give them any more than that usually, but they might get more as i feed them, then the rest goes to the fish.

Dont stick to my comments religiously, but thats what my adfs eat, i'm sure you'll know how much is enough, but 3 - 4 is a good rough guide.

hi,

when i only had 2 they would eat an eighth of a frozen food cube every 2 days, now i have 8 they eat 2 thirds of a cube every 2-3 days and what they miss the bettas eat. the cubes are about 1cmx1cmx1.5cm

My frogs (2) eat about less than an 8th of a cube of brine shrimp every 2 days plus I add some frog bites, but if your tank has large substrate and the food can fall to the bottom of the tank I suggest getting a small glass cup and start to put the food in there, that also allows you to see if they are eating. the frog bites tend to sink and fall between the substrate, the frog bites apparently have enough nutrients that the shrimp doesn't give the frogs...

i have been feeding mine sinking brine shrimp pellets as well and they seem to love it. Good luck.

IF my tank ever cycles...I'd like to put frogs in as my boys keep asking for them. Do they add much bio-load to the tank so that I have to count them as stock? Or are they like the snails...just there and not count towards stock?

I'll be doing a freshwater tropical tank..probably with platys

i dont know if your supose to but i do. It is always better to have more space availible unused then to over cram things so i would personally count it to help keep things a little cleaner. I hope this makes sence as it is 3am.
