Should goldfish be kept with other goldfish are they fine living alone or should there be a couple because I know that danios have to have six plus and Betta should only have one but what about goldfish should there be more than one

Whenever i buy fish i always buy them in pairs at least because some fish become lonely. I don't know a lot about goldfish but I think that they will be fine by itself.

I don't see a problem with goldfish being on their own. It;s probably better in some cases as they need a lot of space per fish, so you're looking at a biiiig tank if you want to keep lots of them together.

I always preferred to keep them in a minimum of pairs when I had fancies but then you'll need a tank twice the size! But one should be ok if you don't have room.

i had one by himself, and brought a friend home for him two months after having him, and he difference in his behavior. he became so much more active. and kept following the new fish round would not leave its side.
