Friday Fryday Club, **join**today**it's**for**fun

So by this Friday all the new fry that I had were the new Xenotoca eiseni fry. Last week it was Xenoophorus captivus. That is in addition to the weekly production of new endler fry but I no longer try to spot new endlers, they just happen and the adults leave them alone as you can tell from this picture at feeding time.

Typical of my mum to break our digi camera then leave the other digi camera in ireland :/
so no pics till I go to ireland to see my family, fin hu has the camera, and bring it back :angry: :X
 
I love fry - how do I join the FRYday Club? No photos yet but have brought up 10 mollies now 3cms long and currently have 5 tiny swordtails and assorted sized guppies 5-12mm.

I'm all joined up now! #15

My number of fry is now up to 5 - most of the time I only see one or two at once, but last night 5 were out at the same time - maybe there is more???
 
hi everyone 2day is friday woohoo!! lol

so as u know we have upload are pics (sorry about mine my dad took the camera away on his holiday) so I'll just give tips this week :) also anyone who wants to give up their on tips feel free!

so ok this weeks tips are about general fry care!

TIPS!!
you should take into account the size of the fish and fry before you breed your fish!! make sure you know that some types of fry are very fragile to bad water quality! and the fry size of a couple of milimetres may seem ok until your tank comes completely full of sub~adult size fish!! so choose wisely that the fish you are going to breed is easily sold to your lfs, and that you will have another tank or two to handle all the overstocking in the main breeding tank :)

some fish such as kribensis, will drive away, attack or maybe even kill other fry that they have raised and are into their second batch as they will be more caring towards their younger ones and take the other fry as intruders! so make certain that you will have a tank ready for when your fry go to a month old or less; by ready i mean the fry tank must be completly cycled and ready at hand!

always remember that you dont breed fish, fish breed fish, so please be patient with the pair!

Ill join!! I have platy fry at the moment and any day now I will have swordtail and guppy fry
 
I would like to join please piccys will follow they wont be great, but ill have a go :blush:

Hey, can I join?
I don't have any fry yet, but I think my black molly and white cloud are pregnant, does that count?
 
you really need fry as this is to show thier progress every friday and to update us too there will be no problem when they are about to drop that would be cool to take a pic a day or two before they drop and during and then keep us informed with the eggs and take a weekly record of them on this thread with pics
