Well, I got a little surprise Saturday...
I bought two beautiful female guppies from the lfs and the lady added a "free" female because the females are often hard to sell because they aren't as attractive as the males. I didn't really notice until after I paid for them that I had an extra, and the lady said that she knew and it was fine because it was an "ugly one anyway." Cool A Free Female! After I got them home, though, I realized that her spine is bent. I think I've read that this may be caused by poor nutrition...? And that she's pregnant. She's half black, but I can see her dark gravid spot but I'm not sure how much longer she may have. Since her back is bent its hard for me to tell how big her belly is, so when would I know to put her in the breeders net? Will her babies be deformed like her, and is there anything I can do to help it? Any advice will defiantly be appreciated!
