I will post water stats tomorrow.
Thanks for looking :)
wow, your tank is amazing well done, I hope my keyhole cichlids grow to that size. I want alot more plants after seeing those in your set up. Heavily planted tanks look great
:)

Thanks!
Give them space and good food and they should do well.
Give planted tanks a go. There's loads of info on here :good:

If you put the sucker at the bottom of the thermometer it will stand up straight :)

Oh, nice tank :)

Haha, thanks for the tip nry. I should have really taken it out before taking the photos.

Ok guys and gals, here's the situation. I need your help. George, you input would be greatly appreciated.
I went on holiday for a week and so I reduced the tank to a sort of low tech tank. 45W of light with a 5 hour boost of 18W. No ferts were added during the week, but before I went, I dosed 20ppm of N, and 1ppm of P. I came back to a fantastic looking tank. The algae that was there before has died and the plants look great. Im thinking of keeping the tank like this now, however I'm not to sure what to dose and how much. At the moment I'm under the impression that the ADA soil is providing enough trace and NP. I look forward to hearing your replies. :)

Welcome to the algae-trouble-free world of low light...!

I dose 2ml of Tropica+ liquid per day and change 1/3 (40 l.) water per week.

The same would likely work for you.

Thanks George. To be honest though, I'd rather use up my Tropica traces and EI powders. Mainly because I don't want to waste them. How would I use them so that it would just be like using the Tropica+ liquid? (does that make sense?). I suppose I could dose only twice a week.
Thanks again.

how much aquasoil did u use and do you have anything underneath it

1 bag. However I did have some RedSea Flora base in there before the ADA soil. One bag should be fine though. I have nothing underneath it. No need for it personally.

I love looking at your tank, it's beautiful.
Good luck with the PFK competition! ;)
