Found My Nitrate Problem

so i tested my tap water it was a nitrite level 5 wich is as red as blood,then i tested the distilled water it was at 0 snow white... so i cleaned my pico out with distilled water and filled it up again added salt,will test tommorow morning and see what happens,if my nitrite is low ill take on the 130 litre tank and change 100 % water with distilled,

think my cycle would of taken a year to get correct if my water is already at 5 on nitrites..
