FOTM anyone?

What a cool looking dude, would he be happier with another dude in with him? or a dudette :alien:

haha, 2 weeks I get the other one, but he's going in another tank.. Note this is their tank for juvenille stage, and I'm doing water changes frequently...

Don't get another one untill you get your 60 gallon!!! 2 GSP's in 1 5 gallon is npt a good idea, no matter how much decor you have!!!!! Please don't get one!! It doesn't matter how many water changes you do. You're going to have mini-cycles, spikes that will stress the fish, they will loose their color, and eventually die, but it's up to you. :grr:

Ron do you not listen? They will be in this tank maximum 6 months.. they are about 1 inch when you get them, and in 6 months they will be ready for a 60 gallon.

He's very cute indeed

Seriously though, he must be super tiny, I can't even see him in the tank! :look:

In the first picture, look at the left hole in the 2 hole rock.

GP, do you listen? Don't talk to me about listening, when you need some help on that subject yourself. What did I say? No matter what size, a puffer should not be in a tank smaller than 10 gallons. And with 2 puffers???!!! The very very least you can do is buy a $7 10 gallon tank and wait the 6 months or whatever to buy the 2nd puffer. Although, I've seen many people like you at this forum and i highly doubt that you will even be purchasing a 60 gallon in 6 months. It doesn't matter if they're a size of a pea, they still need to be kept in a 10 gallon tank. Plus, they grow quickly (if you have the proper diet for them, which I'm guessing you don't.) and soon they will each be 2 inches long. Then they will start to fight in the little territory, (You 5 gallon, poor things!) they will be tottally stressed out, turn grey. You better hope to God that one of them isn't more aggressive than the other, it would tottally tourture the other puffer. I've kept puffers for a long time, I love them so much, their personalities, the way they love their owners, ext. But with you, I give those puffers 1 month to live. Why don't you change your name to, Inhumane_Puffer_Slayer? It fits you!!!

Oh, plus, begging people to nominate your fish is pretty sleezy, but what would I expect from you?

Godric Puffer, I highly recommend listening to Ron. A 5 gallon is OK to keep a small GSP in for a little amount of time (although I would've used a 10 gallon). But putting 2 in a tank that small is really dumb and irresponsible, no matter the length of time.

No matter how anybody feels on the subject, it's really nobodies place to ridicule to the extreme. Please refrain from personal attacks, GP's thread has turned into a circus now, which really isn't fair.

Let's all remember how to guide without chasing away.

Jeez........

Back the HELL off guys!!!!!!

I think your tank is swell.............

just GET another one soon........END OF IT!!!!!!!!!

:grr:

;)

Is everybody stupid? I think that someone as irresponsible as GP ought not to have puffers. And people are encouraging him to get another on in is unbelieveably small tank? (cough...silver.) This place used to be so much fun, that was back when it was reletivly new, now there's 6,000 people that come here, its a zoo. And it's typical that in the bunch, people like GP post their 5 gallon tank and say that he has a 1 inch puffer in it and is getting another one is 2 weeks. Go ahead Kelly, ban me, and protect the stupid people.

EDIT: GP, go here:
*****************
Tell them about your little (literally) situation. See what they have to say about it, since everyone here hasn't kept a single puffer in their life and claims that they know all about the fish when they don't, telling you that your tank is plenty big, and GO AHEAD, get another! Just tell these people who accually keep puffers your situation, and maybe you'll see that I'm not so dumb, but that you're dumb.

I agree with Ron. If you were keeping 2 GP in a 5g tanks for a week or 2 you could get by with alot of water changes and constantly watching the parameters. 6 months however seems like a long time for those puffers to stay in such a small tank. I would recommend like I think ron has already did and wait till you get a bigger tank and buy more puffers.

Well, thanks for the flames Ron, I appreciate it! Well I talked to my mom about this, and she's agreed to let me have a 45-60 gallon tank by october.. Plus, I won't be able to get the second puffer for another month... And Ron, if you don't like this thread, you realize you have a choice not to post in it!
