I have no idea, from what I have read sexing JD's is suppose to be difficult I have a feeling he is male from Bailey's (diadema) reaction and the way the texas and Harry behave around him.

found this in one of my books
there's not much to identify them
it says spangles on the face as well
as this {the male having longer and more pointed dorsal and anal fins}

Cheers Biffster, fins are growing back nicely but telling from fins is going to be difficult yet, he does have speckles all over his face, yellow, green & blue.
