Please help me make up my mind!

I've narrowed my first tank down to:-

Fluval Roma 125 and Juwel Rio 125.

Now I cant choose between them and I am itching to get my tank and get started!

Can the good people out there tell me what they would choose.

Are there any advantages/disadvantages between either of them?

Thankyou

Forgot to say,

I will be keeping smallish community fish, cardinals, corys, pentazonas etc

Rio 125, simply because the Roma 125 has rubbish lighting ;) :/

Roma 125 easier to attach an external filter to without having to cut out the Juwel one.

For me the hood of the Fluval looks better as well its not as bulky overall.

I am not saying it has good lighting, I'm saying the Roma has bad lighting, therefore I do not understand your sarcasm (was it necessary?)

Oh don't get all sensitive...... but if you want to get serious then the old Juwel lighting system is widely know to be troublesome (otherwise why does my pinned thread on the subject get so many hits?) I wasn't being sarcastic actually, just pointing out that it's funny how you can say one is better than the other on the merit of the lighting when your preferred choice is know to be rubbish too :dunno:

I currently have a roma125 setup with a fluval 305 filtering it, very easy to customise the tank to accommodate external filter. As said the lighting is not its strongest point, but saying that my roma is 2year+ old with no problems. Sorry would not be right for me to comment on the juwel as i've never owned one.

Keith.

Glad somebody had the same thoughts as me.

I currently have a 60l 2ft tank which has a fluval external on (only a 105) im looking to get either of these 2 tanks myself and im wanting to use my external as well as the filter included but im not really a big fan of internal which was why i liked the juwel.

Would the fluval have the weigh of the water spread more evenly as the juwel over hangs on each side?

On 1 of the posts above somebody mentions having to cut out on the jewel for the external what do you mean please? Im crap at diy and £250 is alot to spend for me to make a mess. Are the fluvals easy to add external too?

What's wrong with the lights on each? My tank is a female betta tank so i have it quite heavily planted. I currently have a interpet fish box which has a day light in 1 side and a night light in the other side which is not the best but ive planted is so the plants needing low light are on the blue side and it seems to work ok. But i dont wanna buy a new tank and loose all my plants cos lets face it they don't come cheap.

I also read somewhere that the fluval is not too good for maintenance? Do you have to move the light to get ur arm in?

Sorry for the 100 questions but i wanna make sure i get the right tank as i have already spent a small fortune on the 4 I've currently got

Thanks
