Flowerhorn?

ive seen a flowerhorn at my LFS for £10 ($20) what would be the minimum tank size? could it be kept with convict cichlids?

I think it could go with some convict, and I think a 55g would be the minum tank size for a half grown adult.

55 gallon absolute minimum for a fully grown adult, I'd say (in the same way it would be absolute minimum for an oscar... they are both 12" fish. Personally I think 75g+ is better.) I wouldn't put anything else with one in less than a 100 gallon, and I'd be VERY careful about it even then. These guys are absolute terrors.

i have three flowerhorns and wouldnt dream of putting in any other poor fish with them. these fish are very aggressive.

you can put a FH's in a small tank even adult just u need to keep the water very clean, with a good filter/filters, and give them a few marbles there happy ... You do know they like pitchin marbles

i dont know about cramping your fish...but just like us humans we need space to venture and relax...if not we be stressed and bangin our heads to the closest thing available.. like the fish trapped in a small glass or acrylic tank tryin to find its' way out...well eventually will stress out and die.. but eventough its all about the health of the fish and not its happiness...
thats why i have my 2inch GM in a 135 gal tank all by himself well with some plecos and lil cats and on occasion will have a tank mate to play with just visiting..hahha

i think space wise rule of thumb is space should be atleast 3 x its lenght for a fh on all four corners.. and even that i think its too small..
