My dad recently bought our computer a hardrive, 300GB external hardrive, as a back up! I'm so glad he bought it, because I keep all my music files on there and so if the computer crashes, I'll still have all my files.

Sounds like you got ripped off. They certainly overcharged you for the harddrive. I recently bought a 250Gb for £50, which is less than what you paid for the 160Gb !!!

Certainly would have paid you to get it done by a friend. I would have complained to them, they should have called you to give you an estimate of what it's going to cost, and especially if any parts needed replacing.

Yea it was a bummer.. I'm trying not to dwell on it though..

I used to let things like this really bother me for long periods of time.. I'm trying not to do that now lol.

If I paid for it out of my own pocket it might be different.. but my parents really didn't seem to care, so I'm trying to just be happy I have a computer that works.
