Fishroom update

Thanks you guys! It's a lot of work, my husband did the maths and figured at least 28 hours a week.

You need barracks at least 200
Nevah! :p I'll keep it old school with good ole fashioned jar changes :flex:

are those all female or plakat in that tank GEEEEZ
A lot of them are females but I have a good 30 males in there as well. They're way beyond the age of fighting and they seem to be getting along well. I've never (touch wood) found anybody dead or badly beaten so I assume it's a case of "safety in numbers",so many to pick on so nobody really gets picked on at all,if that makes sense. Also, I've noticed something interesting...the males who remain in the grow out have disguised themselves as females. I can barely sex them at all.

how many have you got now?
Beats me :*)
lovein the betta painting on the wall
Thanks! My brother made that for me last year

Wow I hadn't noticed that before (don't know HOW I missed it).

That's awesome! I don't suppose your brother sells his paintings? ;)

[Edit-] Also, where do you find all those containers?!!? In particular, the ones on the tallest shelf in the 1st picture, on the middle shelf? I am searching for inexpensive plastic jars, but all I can find (for a reasonable price) are those teeny betta cups.

No way. They eat way more than I could ever sell them for :p Zero profit

Mandi~ I get most of my containers at the Dollar Tree. I raid them everytime they get a container I like :look: I love the round ones, the skinny ones hold more water and fit more fish per shelf,so I like that too.

DUH! *Smacks forehead* Why did I never think of the dollar store!? Thanks!

That is a REALLY clever idea with those tall narrow ones (cereal containers?) I bet you can fit a TON of those on a shelf.

I'm going to have to make a trip to the Dollar Tree now!

I love your betta room! I will have to take a picture of my closet. That is where I house my bettas. Its warmer in there and it keeps there water at 80 degrees. My breeding tank is near my bed so that I can watch them and then fall asleep. My bettas have great personalities. They all come running to the top of their bowls or their tank when I come over to it. They even let me touch them when I put my hand in the tank. They are very personal.

That is some awsome set up you have there but one question..how do you manage to keep everything so neat and tidy? My fish room always looks like world war three has just happened :S

She tidy it just to take picture. After that, it go back to world war III. LOL J/K.

It's always clean like that. I'm a nerd :nerd: It's the one room of the house that is mine, mine, mine!
It looks messy to me in the pics because I'm such a weirdo, even the wires look like clutter :S ( I hate wires showing!)

wow is all i can say and well WOW i lov all of them aparently your in the bussness of selling them :S so many bettas :S

how oftin do u change the water!!!!!!
I do the small containers every other day. The bigger one's & the grow outs every three days. The 1 & 2.5 gallons once a week. I've become quite speedy with water changes. :look:
I don't sell, I just show. The red spawn was a learning experience, that's all. A test to see if I can keep up with hundreds  I think I passed.

haha Kelly you make me wanna hurry up and grow up and marry so I can have a house with my own fish room!!! Althought my apartment now is my house/fishroom...haha
