Fishless cycle

hi, I am 10 days into a fishless cycle. As yet I have notice a drop in ammonia but no rise in nitrites. They did go up one day to 0.25 but dropped the next. Since then nothing. Current readings are

Ammonia between 1 and 2ppm
Nitrites 0
Nitrate 5ppm (Same as tap water)
Ph 8.2

Water hardness I do not have a kit for. Water in my area is classed as very hard. Should I add more amonnia or wait for the drop below 0.75ppm as advised, just concerned I am not seeing any rise in nitrites at all

Using Dr Tim’s based on tank volume 4 drops per gallon worked out to 200 drops. Tank is 240 litres but filled to around 190 litres once substrate etc was added

I believe it is to 2ppm. My API test kit goes from 2ppm-4ppm. The dosage I gave according to Dr Tim will be 2ppm

You may want to kick it up to 3ppm if something doesn’t start moving. I go by Dr. Tim too but have put mine as high as 4ppm before. Good luck!
