I know that too many nitrAtes can lead to nitric acid which in turn leads to lower pH. Chemistry was never a strong subject for me and probably never will be! lol
My cycling tank is now processing nitrites in 12 hrs but the ammonia munchers have slowed down to 24hrs for some reason. Am keeping up with it tho and am hoping it is only a matter of time - I've got loads of that so no problem!
