Hi,

Celebrations after 7 weeks of fishless cycling has completed successfully
smile.gif
in my fluval edge 46l. Just keeping it fed with ammonia whilst thinking about stocking this weekend.

Would like a mixture of colourful fish (Endler's livebearer, galaxy rasbora, tetras?), one or two Nertes snails and a maybe a cherry shrimp.

Any suggestions/experiences?

Water parameters:

PH: 7.4
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 20
Water Hardness :8 dH in german units

Thanks,

AJ

to TFF!

Due to the limited surface area of this tank it's a bit tricky to stock and can be difficult to clean.
Perhaps a pair of peacock gudgeons or a shoal of mosquito rasbora?

maybe 4 endlers and 4 guppys would provide lots of colour but make sure they are all female for gods sake

It'd be better IMO to make sure they're all males. Females can store sperm for up to..6 months I think? So if they were in a tank with males then you're going to have fry

Platys are a nice idea, Harliquens, cardinels etc you have few ideas.

Those are all too big, or too active, for a 46l Edge.

I'd suggest seven or eight of any of these; Endler's, Guppies, celestial pearl danios, dwarf emerald danios, chilli rasboras.

You could have shrimps as well as the fish.

i would say for a tiny tank like that put natural colour gravel in and a carpetr of moss ball artifical or real and 6 male endlers with cherry shrim or type of shrimp on the bottom 6 or so will be good IMO
