Fish Shop Video

Hi all,

I was just googling fish shops in my area & came across this video for the Goldfish Bowl in Oxford, thought it might be of interest to someone (i hope i'll be visiting there at some point soon as my new tank is almost cycled!)

Its where all of my fish have come from (and most of my bosses) - its really a time machine that easily sucks an hour out of your life at a time.

All the advice I have had from the staff has been so far been sound and in line with that given round here (except the usual in fish cycle from an LFS).

I had a mate who stayed in Oxford for a while. He only had good things to say about the place.

I just noticed where you are from! The best we have is A World Of Fish or Aqualand, but those are a good 40min-1hour drive away.

BTW, You get enough snow yet

Yeah, HOLY SNOW! I am going to school at UWStout (Menomonie) right now, and walking to class was CRAZY! I was covered in snow by the time I got there!

Where is the World of Fish or Aqualand located? Might have to go there sometime!

Yeah I watched it snow all during chem lab at UW - River Falls. Somehow managed to drive from River Falls to Hudson in my front wheel drive car. Nothing is plowed yet. We got about 5" here in two hours and its still kinda going. This is all pay-back for yesterdays weather .


The Twin Cities has what I believe is the largest aquarium society. There are a couple nice stores as well. I didn't see anything in the video that can't be obtained in the cities. A World Of fish is at 1516 E. 66th Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota. It's about 3 minuets from the airport. Aqualand is 5 minuets further. Minnfish.com is the forum for the Minnesota Aquarium Society, they do auctions, shows and group trips a lot.

Thats cool, My girl friend goes to UW River Falls! She had class at like 5, but she did not go.

Yeah, we got like 5-6" here, and I guess we are still supposed to get more through out the night, and a little bit tomorrow as well.

I am going to have to and check out those stores when I get some money... college takes all my money.
