A few weeks ago I was at a pet store and noticed that several of the tanks had a wedge from an orange floating in them. I asked someone who worked there and he told me that the fish really like citrus so they throw in a piece of orange or lime every once in a while. Anyone else ever seen or heard this? Will bettas eat citrus fruits?
And if anyone is wondering how my fish is doing, he seems to be perfectly fine. The discoloration on his head and back hasn't grown or changed, so I'm thinking it's just a discoloration that I didn't notice before. His coloring on the rest of his body has gotten darker and more vibrant over the last few days and he's become a lot more social. He goes to whatever side of his bowl people are on and his appetite has returned. He does hang out more on the bottom of the bowl now, rather than at the top like he did when I first got him a few months ago. Although, he's been swimming around a lot more, so I'm not too worried.
