Just a little bit of fun, but also to help give me ideas for what are good fish that could be your centre piece that will go well with established community fish??

Judges please......

I was thinking of getting a pair of angel fish in the near future??

angels are lovely addition 2 most tanks but be aware they need at least an 18 inch high tank preferably more i vote angels

The tank is about 22" deep and I have the following...

• 7 Black Widow Tetra
• 6 Green Tiger Barb
• 4 Lemon Tetra
• 3 Serpae Tetra
• 2 Black Mollies (M&F)
• 2 Albino Catfish
• 2 Bronze Catfish

I need to leave them for a few weeks before I add anything else yet.

That's a lovely set up. A nice community too. I also think increasing your tetras is a good idea - I'm biased as I love tetras, but still think your thought on adding 2 angels would set it of nicely.

At least 6 of each type of tetra and a total of at least 6 cories. The bigger the schools, the better looking, as it will fill out the tank more.

Once you have large enough tetras, then add angels.

Cheers for replies, just need to wait for the tank to gain maturity and hopefully can start to up the stocking.

Thanks for kind comments on tank, its been a bit of a long time coming through one thing and another.

So is the Angel Fish this years Fish Idol or do we have anymore auditions?

Pearl, gold, or opaline gouramis, maybe? Similar size to the angelfish. My pearl gouramis show up better than my angelfish, but it also depends on the angels. Mine are fairly subdued.

gold nugget plec gets my vote, he's the first thing you see in my tank

Angels would be very nice in there, just be careful about getting a true M/F pair...if they decide to breed they can be a handful, although they should be manageable in that size tank.

A pair of Rams (German or Bolivian) would be nice.
A pair of two of Apistos would work also but the dwarfs may not give you the "centerpiece" feel you want.
A pair of Kribs would be nice.
A severum would be nice.
You could also try some other smaller, more peaceful SA/CA cichlids like keyholes or festivums.
A nice pleco is also a good suggestion. Gold Nuggets can be sensitive so you may want to let your tank get well established before you try one of those.

Anyway, their are plenty of ideas out there. I would hit the local fish stores and wait until something catches your eye. Just know what you're getting and do your research.

Up your current stocking to:
