Nope, they come in so many different patterns. All the wilds can look exactly the same, with Plecoes and other fish there's always that slight detail that enables easy identification.

Well, Plecos are apparently poop eaters according to LFS. Not sure eating fish crap is treatment for royalty.

Tetras dont sell cos they eat crap or cos they can live in a cup ( according to LFS mind ) they sell cos they're pretty and active and peaceful.

well my LFS says that 6 glofish can go in a 1.5 gallon...

I've never had either a betta or a plec, but, I'm getting a Flash Plec very soon, so I'll let you know what the correct answer is soon!
