fit.chick - it's because of the '.' in the middle of your nick name. When you receive the erroneous nickname message, type /nick Fit_Chick or whatever name you want in the command line (the white bit) and it should let you in okay.

Clare, I assume you're not having the same error issue because you have no 'erroneous' items in your nick. Please check out the chat help topic here
or PM a mod if you're still having issues. I would suggest SirMinion as he seems to have the most knowledge on this topic!

Hopefully he won't get annoyed at my asking people to contact him

Fit.chick, when it gives you that error just type in:
/nick FitChick

and it should continue (I hope)

Quick word to anyone who logs in from another IRC server, the server is now kinetic.oftc.net not unununuium.oftc.net. The port is still 6667.

This could explain any troubles some peoples have had in the last few days.

How about the fact that I just can't connect to it....been trying non stop for the past few days and it refuses to cooperate.

hello all. I tried to venture onto it last night, found it difficult to get into, ie, flicked through the channels, gave me lists of allsorts of things I did'nt understand, when I did manage to get some feed back they seemed extremely unfriendly and minutes later i was banned?did'nt do anything or abuse anyone, strange.
