Fish Food

If your trying to feed fish Brine Shrimp. Buy it frozen. It is alot cheaper than cultruing you own. Have to understand, feeding community fish, they want big shrimp, and when theese guys hatch, they are miniscule( for baby fish to eat).

The best brand is New Life Spectrum.

So, they are shotting Gamma Ray's at the food? Gamma rays are a form of radiation. So, radiation treat food dosen't sound to healthy to me.

There are 3 types of Radiation. Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. Gamma rays are the strongest, where if some when your way, they would go through your clothes, skin, and reap havoc on your cells killing or badly injuring you. Beta, are not as strong as Gamma, if some were shot at you, and you pulled out a plastic binder, and put it in your way, the ray would be stopped. Now, if it is a Alpha particle, your clothes would stop them.

I hope i cleared this up for you!

oh cool, they are gamma treated look;
Gamma irradiated: This completely eliminates any risk of introducing harmful parasites or bacteria into your aquarium, and also means that the food is completely safe to store in your freezer.

LOts of replys already.

This may sound like a doumb question but i don't what you mean by live foods.

Is it like a live worm you put into your aqaurium and it starts to swim around?

I feed them king british blood worms as a treat.

Gamma rays are a kind of electromagnetic radiation that are generated by certain decomposing radioactive elements and cosmic ray bursters. They have the highest frequency and shortest wavelength of any known form of EM radiation. It's effect on food is similar to cooking, it kills everything in the food, makes it last much longer and can make it either more or less nutritious. Alpha and Beta radiation are electrons and helium nuclei , respectively.

Back to fish food,

I feed my fish a blend of blood worms and "emerald entrée", algae wafers, blanched vegetables, tetra crisps and they also eat whatever random algae and micro foods that are growing in the tank.

Yh has anyone fed your fish live earth worms?
