I plan to set up a small saltwater fish farm with size of 1000 GL. What kind of filtration do I need?

I would imagine a 300 g sump would be your best bet. With skimmer, refugium, and whatever else you want in there depending on the fish you want.

So what fish would you like?

thanks for the replay..

Do you think I'll need Skimmer if im using Wet/Dry filter with Bio Balls coz I dont want use skimmer...

Im thinking of big fish like..Greasy grouper or Rabbit fish

I wouldn't like to say. I'm yet to set up my first marine tank.

I've heard people get away without one but normally only on smaller tanks.

Maybe someone more experienced could help you out?

can i just ask why you wont use a skimmer?
and when you say fish farm...do you mean breeding them?
coz I'll use Wet/Dry with Bio Balls with Mangrove. I think it will do the same job as the skimmer...... :/

Yes I'll buy the Fish larvae,
Please corret me if im worng

Mangroves are really slow growing, so i think a skimmer aswel.

as for the fish, if i was looking to farm fish...id want those thats in demand. That are either failry high value or your going to sell in big decent numbers.
1% of marine keepers may keep a grouper, where as 99% may keep clown fish. Rabbit fish are fairly inexpensive aswel

I'll get the Mangroves from the sea so it will be big one :good:

well I'll not sell it to the marine lover I'll sell it in fish markets, believe me they love it in market...

on a 1000 gallons, a massive one!

Surely if you plan to do this, you'd be the one answering the questions?
