Fish Deaths One A Day :(

If you can then definitely rehome those mollies, loach, and I think maybe the rummynoses & neons too. I hope that doesn't sound too harsh.
You could rehome the guppies as well and then do a fishless cycle, if you wanted. Have you read the cycling article at the top of the page?

If you haven't been testing your water then there are a million variables that could be it. who knows the hardness or ph of the water you're using plus it sounds overstocked as is and probably even more so before the deaths occured though deaths happen to everyone eventually. i lost two corys today/yesterday for no reason i watch all my parameters and +1 on getting the master kit they're infinitely useful in this hobby. Idk if you need one or not but a tds meter is nice too to tell how hard the water your starting with is. Depends on if you use RO or tap for wc. Sorry that you lost some fish though, it sucks when you spend all the money on supplies to make the buggers happy and then they go and die :/

Maybe there is a dominant fish in the tank that is stressing everybody out and killing them. Keep an eye out on the tank and watch for agression because sometimes you get the aggressive fish. I would know because my freind has a neon tetra that kills his other neon tetras normally neons are peaceful.

Are the fishes gills moving rapidly?
Do they look like they're gasping at the surface for oxygen?
Do they look restless?
Do they look lethargic?

Answering these questions will help :)

I definitely agree that maybe the 4 mollies together isn't great, they do seem to chase eachother around a bit. All the fish swim around quite actively, not lathargic, gasping at the surface or anything like that. I think maybe I've been lucky so far without having any problems until now. I wasn't advised on stocking levels at the shop or anything so I've really just been thinking it was ok because the fish have been fine until now. I have maybe been doing things the wrong way round and teaching myself as i've gone along lol! This site has been very helpful and I'll definitely be looking on here before i do anything in future lol!

Get some Seachem Prime. It's going to take out Chlorine with water changes and also help against Ammonia , Nitrite and Nitrate.

ok thanks, I have a day off tomorrow so will be over to the fish shop to get supplies!!! Did a 50% water change again this morning, with tapsafe added, no deaths today as yet!!! Hoorah!!!

If you are deciding on re-homing any of your fish you should let the other person know that you had fish die in your tank for reasons unknown to you at the moment. There is a possibility that it could be a disease (ich can sometimes hide in the fish's gills), then your fish to be re-homed should go in a quarantine tank to prevent the infection from spreading to this other person's tank!

Do you have an LFS nearby who could test the water for you? It's probably better than nothing while you're waiting for your test kit!

Yes i'm going to the fish shop today so I will take a water sample with me. And I will certainly inform anyone who rehomes any of the fish. Thanks
