fish a real pet or not....

Because you care for them and worry over their health, fish are pets. Not to mention the money you pour into them ,my dog and rabbit are cheaper and easier to care for then the fish 8)

i voted not a pet. I dont name my fish, as a rule, except my favourite few. I cant pet my fish teh way i dio with a dog, my dog doesnt give me affection the way my dog does, you cant really DO anything with fish except look at them. dont get me wrong, I like fish but I dont love them

Why can't they just be a different kind of pet? I wouldn't class a dog the same as a guinea pig but my giunea pigs are certainly pets! Why do all animals have to be measured against dogs and cats?
