Mmmmm..... I was looking at the male too He's very nice, isn't he? I might just well... have to make some space for some of the babies, if you don't mind delivering. I'd be happy to take any mutants (especially the poor, poor ones who have that funny double tail ).

The bottles as jars are a good idea, you could always put some gravel (or sand) in the bottom. Hmm.... *oohfeeshy decides to stash a lot of bottles away for future use*

I thought it was me, but now I don't think it is.

I edited a post of mine (for the 3rd time) last nite to include 3 pictures and some text...this morning when I checked the thread..the pictures and text I posted were gone..and it said I didn't edit the post but twice..and I KNOW I did lol.

Those are lovely fish. I love white fish..as long as they don't look pink lol (ten they look raw imo) . GOOD LUCK!!!

As I'm interested in this myself, I put my female (as she's the smallest betta I have) in a cut off pepsi bottle (and had to drink the rest of the bottle... shame.) with the top part turned upside down as a lid with a straw going through it to stop it falling in. Plenty of airspace, the hole where the cap was provides air and a feeding hole. Doesn't tip over that easily actually, took quite a lot of effort to knock it over (as, when you think about it, its designed to not fall over when full of liquid). Seems plenty of room, but I noticed she tended to stay around the top 3 or so inches. Obviously this might be different with a fry in there, but I'd look for the widest bottle you can get. Otherwise, very good idea Doesn't take up much room either.

only problem is he keeps falling off i mean he embraces her but slides off before he can squeeze her, then he's left bent in half floating for a few seconds take a look

Does anyone know what colour ratio you could expect from these two? Ive just got a good betta book and it tell you what ratio of colours you can expect from different colourered bettas and tail species but it doesnt cover white

It all depends on what genes each fish carries, but I'm sure you'll get a good number of opaques, and maybe some pastels. Looks like the female has some blue under that opaque layer, judging by the pics

checked on them this morning and the nest has been destroyed.

he is sat sulking under his cup and she is sat at the other side of the tank

Should i pull them and start all over again or leave it a while longer to see if he re-builds
