Am I the only bug keeper? In the past I've kept praying mantis, katydids, crickets, grasshoppers, millipedes, centipedes and various beetles. Next on my list: Mallee darkling beetles and rough slaters. Google them. I know youre not gonna google that so ill post links on them.

It's not so different than keeping fish only they live on land.

Ha! Someone finally noticed "Cupid"!! It's really my fish, too ... just noticed the heart the other day. 

 
Slaters? We call those "beach ball bugs" because they roll into a little ball if you touch them.

Far as I can tell, that's it. Of course, I've never gotten so close to one that I could count its legs.

Spiders are the only animal in the world I hate. Scorpions are awesome. Never kept them cos the word poisonous always makes me back out..

Only poisonous if you eat them TallTree saying that... not even sure if they are poisonous!! They are however... venomous
 
Just keep ones with huge claws and you'll be ok!
 
Huge Claws = small sting on tail as they use claws..
Huge Tail = well... that's gonna hurt!
