Right Lots off change over the weekend and lots to share so bare with me with this post
Right . . .
The day after my clown fish died I found a tear in the other fishes tail so i knew I had to do somthing! Fortunatly he wasnt hurt as bad but now has a blunt tail with an almost perfectly straight line down his tail missing. It was a bit torn and it looks as tho somthing cleaned it up for him since it happend???
Soon as I got the chance I caught the shrimp and lugged him down to my LSF. I expalined what had happend and asked the fella to take him off my hands and he was kind enough to do so.
Whilst i was there i had a conversation regarding replacing the clown fish and he sorted me out with a clown fish that is a good size to introduce to into the tank without causing a fight!
I also got a cleaner shrimp to replace the boxer!
So over the weekend ive gone back to 2 clown fish who are best friends already
and a new cleaner shrimp who loves cleaning my hand
I found a dead snail being eaten by a brisstle worm, so that came out and ohh my did it smell
i cleaned it up in boiling RO water and removed any bits of snail meat left then threw the shell bak in for the hermits!
Ive been feeding my emerald crab some crab pellets to ensure he is eating enough however i caught him dragging a hermit crab shell first under a rock!
I seem to be having bad look with any creature that has the potential to cause trouble but genraly dosnt.
I have also been thinking of a possible adition to the tank maybe at the end of the year which is a mandarin. So as preperation I have orderd a complete copepod culture kit to breed copepods to add to the tank. If i can breed good numbers i may look into mandarins, otherwise the culture is just a little fun way to make food
Sorry for the wordy thread but had lots to share
pics will come shortly
