First Cichlid Tank

Hey I've freed up a 30 gallon tank which once cycled I can use for cichlids. I love yellow and am open to other bright colors. With the limitation oc size and knowing very little about cichlids, I'm completely open to suggestions. Oh I don't like grotesque looking fish.

Hi Stephan,
I'm pretty new to cichlids but have a tanganyikan tank. I was looking into malawis to start with they are brighter coloured but I think your tank is too small for them. I have a 240Ltr and I think that is the recommended minimum. What about the Leleupi? They are really bright yellow or orange. Feisty though if you're up for a challenge

Mmm just looked up Leleupi and a 50 gallon tank is recommended so you might struggle

You'll probably be restricted to Tanganyikan shell dwellers if you want to go African. What about the caudopunctatus?

I had a tank of three yellow labs in a 30 g and keep them for years it was my first tank u could try it they r bright yellow and I never had one problem with them all ways healthy and happy
