What is the minimum sized tank to keep just a pair of fire-mouths ? I have grown quite fond of some that are at my lfs. And i have some empty tanks lying around.
Thanks, Mark

Technically a 20 gallon long is fine for a breeding pair and nothing else.On liveaquaria.com it says 30 gallons and they're usually a pretty trusty site to use.
Guess I've researched left and right on how to sex them, and came to the conclusion "you can't until they pair"One more question, i know that it is very difficult to sex them but the ones at my local fish store are about 3 inches. So am just wondering what is the best way to try to sex these guys ?
Thanks, Mark
