Fire Extinguishers

The new red bottles have different coloured lables based on the old system I.e all the bottles are red with a white lable for power, black lable for CO2, etc, just make sure you're getting CO2!

Anyone know if I can screw my Dennerle Co2 regulator valve and kit straight onto a Co2 extinguisher rather than the small co2 bottle that comes with the kit? :hey:
Or will the screw thread be a different size to the extinguisher?

I'm glad this topic has resurfaced. I've been looking at this option lately.

Tomorrow evening I'm meeting with a guy who lives just around the corner from me and who supplies / services fire extinguishers (amongst other things).

He has already told me he can refill my JBL tanks and I will be taking my JBL and Aqua Medic regulators around so he can see them.

I'll be discussing if he can supply me with larger (2kg) bottles and as he has access to a range of extras, I'll be looking to see if the can suggest a different connection method ..... I'd like to be able to remove the handles and fit something with a screw on/off valve (similar to the JBL tanks).

I know that method works (and I'll happily use it) but if I'd rather have a screw valve if possible.

I'm also going to see if he has access to a dual gage regulator with needle valve. The ones in the links zig posted are great, just interested in seeing if there are even cheaper options !

:/ Doesnty help me with my query though? All I want is a large CO2 cylinder, not all the valves etc as I want to re-use mine. Anyone know?? -_-

Think it should work, unless you're using disposable CO2 cylinders?

No my system is the pressurised cylinder. I was just worried that the fire extinguisher pressure may blow my valves with the Dennerle system if they opperate at a higher pressure? :X

My new 2kg fire extinguisher was giving out 60bar , most gauges go well past 150 bar so you shouldn't have any problems with pressure.
