Ewww Crispy :crazy: :sick:

What went on in your thread?

Yeah usually clowns jump out for many reasons some jump out of stress and some jump out because they think there stuck in a tide pool and are waiting for the current to take them out so they try jumping there way out.

Yeah, I would like to know, too... I think I know what lead up to it.

A Clownfish being trapped in a tide pool would be an very unusual situation in the wild. Usually, tide-pool fish consist of Gobies, Dartfish, and Blennies, and the odd Damselfish or Dragonet (Also Tangs, as well as a few others in tide pools, but it is an extremely rare occurance for fish other than the first four mentioned to inhabit them). I know this because I examined many, many tide pools in Hawaii; I also learned why Lawnmower Blennies are also called "Rockskippers". :hyper: It also proves the resilience of tide pool fish, since the temperature in a single pool may rise to beyond 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, the fishes are oftentimes extremely crowded; the tiny pools may also have springs flowing into them, reducing the temperature and salinity radically.

And back on topic;

Unfortunately, most fish can jump, and whether it is due to stress, fright, "friskiness" et cetera is not fully understood in many cases. :no: Ah well, there was nothing you could have done to prevent it. :no:

our mutual friend Marky decides to call a few of us some choice names that do not belong on a forum, he was reported by 2 member & the post has been removed & the member banned

Big lose :p

The guy who was asking about the anemone and how you can make the clown host it??

Yeah, same guy. I'd love to tell him how wrong he was, haha :lol: . But anyways lets move on and forget about him. Sorry to hear about the loss of your clown, I hope the ones I get don't share the same fate as yours :(

That guy was entertaining to say the least, really gives the forum a more immature feel to it. :fun:

Makes me feel at home :-(

Bugger, I'm guessing I was one of the members at least some of the stuff was directed at and I didn't get to have a good laugh reading it before it was closed :lol: I had a feeling it was deleted for a reason along them lines and was really spewing that I didn't get to take a squizz before it was gone. It was rather amusing and refreshing to shoot the guy down with logical reasoning as well as a good dose of sarcasm but I knew it was only a matter of time before he fell back to insults.

That aside though, it's good to hear you found out what happened to the little fella, even if it wasn't news you were hoping for. Oh, I'd keep an eye on the glass of your tank for a few weeks though, those mantis shrimp are buggers for flipping fish out of tanks and he could still be lurking :lol: :rolleyes:
