Hello all,

I am
a disabled combat veteran, originally from Boston Ma, fish keeping was always a hobby of mine growing up, after being injured overseas it took me almost a decade of moving around and re locating until i was finally settled and capable of having an aquarium. I bought a home, started a family, and now i have my aquarium.
Nothing to wild, but a great mood enhancer and hobby to be excited about. I got a 55 gal going with some mollies, live plants, a pictus cat, some guppies and mystery snails. also a clown and albino pleco.

look forward to following along on the threads!

Welcome and I'm pleased that you've now got a stability. ;) Here's hoping you'll be content with all.

To give you a head's up re your tank, whilst it looks very purty, as you 'Murricans say, you'll soon have an algae issue. Algae will thrive on the bright light and the lack of competition for nutrients, (from the fish waste).
Your live plants are a start, but that Java Fern (?), the one on the right of the pic, towards the rear, will need its base taking out of the substrate, (gravel), or it'll decay. Java ferns are very slow growers and do best glued of tied to wood/rocks/ornaments.

Better to give you the head's up so's you can research and plan accordingly.
