my pair of angels have spawned a few times in my com tank but the eggs all dissapeared after day 3! so i moved them into their own tank they spawned and the same happened all the eggs gone! but this time they have spawned and i now have loads of little tail wriggling from the breeding cone  the tank is an aquaone 620 with filter in the hood and im worried that the fry when they release themselves will be sucked up into the filter.... how do i stop this or should i remove the fry to their own tank? the only tank i have spare is a 2 foot but no spare cycled filter as this is being used for my cory fry! could i leave the fry in the parents tank or will it get too crowded too quick...? found the wrigglers this morning so i have a few days to find a solution i guess before they become free swimming fry.

Best idea would put a sponge over pipe so no babies get sucked through. There is some good fry raising videos on youtube also.

Congrats, sponge will work or you could tie some old tights or fish net around the intake strainer, works just as well.

i borrowed a pair of the wifes tights to cover the intake and fitted them yesterday which was great timing as the wrigglers are now free swimming and the parents are really looking after them so far :good:
ive added a couple of drops of liquifry for the fry to have their first meal without being stuck to a cone
should i remove the fry or leave them in there? the tank will soon become very small for them as its an aquaone 620, only 2 feet wide but quite tall...

umm i dont know if this is true but i dont think angels eat there fry  dunno though..

WELL DONE
Iv had mine a few times get to free swimming stage, the angels do a good job of keeping them together, but if they get loose one of the 8 discus have them
