Fin Rot

I posted about this subject earlier today. I went to petsmart and talked to one of the people there and they told me to buy Betta fix remedy from splendid betta I also bought some aquarium salt. My question is how long will it take for my fish's fins to look normal again? A part of his fin looked like it lost color but its back now. I added 1/2 teaspoon like the directions said. Should I also put some salt in there also? When I was there they had alot more bettas then they did when I got mine they had a white one which looks kinda pinkish but it had black spots on its tail there was also a light green one it reminded me of seaweed.. is that a normal color? im thinking about going back and buying another betta.. (im hooked) I would like the green one but I would like some input first!!

Well it could take almost a year depending on how much damage there is.

Just keep up w/ the water changes and pinch of salt and some IAL (if you can find some ) You should notice re-growth in a week or two.
