Fin health - peppered Cory cat

Do the fins look healthy I have dosed with melafix and pimafix for the full treatment and performed the water changes and have not seen any major change in fins just curious I am fairly new to the hobby

Welcome! What is the substrate? They like sand or a second would be rounded pebbles but not sharp gravel. Could that be the issue? Careful with broad treatments - they can do more harm than good. Clean water is best, that's a good step. I'm sure you'll get more helpful advice from others - is the fish behaving normally and does it have other cory cats with it? They are very social. If so, are they experiencing the same thing?

These fins are completely normal.cause this is a man made longfin variaty. These are more vunerable to get ragged at the ends.

What were you treating the fish for?

As a general rule, most fish health issues are caused by poor water quality that allows harmful bacteria and fungus to entre damaged tissue. The easiest way to treat most of these problems is by doing a big (75%) water change and gravel cleaning the substrate every day for a week or two, and making sure the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate & pH are good.

this is my substrate not sure if you can see the pic but I had a little corse gravel that you still see partially then I did a rescape pulled all fish and laid a small sanding substrate ontop the white is a old substrate don’t mind it they behave normal eat well school sortav or shoal they like the new substrate allot more it seams no others seem to loose fins just this one “highfin” one I’m not sure if it’s true highfin but it’s allot taller than the rest there’s just not much fun growth maybe I’m impatient I know I switched the feeding to every other day because I was worried I was feeding too much

But what also confuses me is I had one I got with very little dorsal fin and it’s only gotten better since I’ve had it and I check my parameters twice a week or more and they’re always good
