Hi all i have purchased two eheim 2028 cannister filters, i am concerned about the spray bar on the return pipe being to powerful thinking i might lose some co2 efficiency, would lily pipes help , tank size 150 x 50 x60cm regards john ;)

I'd be tempted to wait and see. You could possibly place/rotate the spray bar (or put it below the water surface) to reduce the agitation which would help.

I was worried about the same thing, so I bought a cheap gravel filter and attached it to the inlet and pointed it straight down in the aquarium so that there was no surface agitation at all.

The only problem then was that the pressure from the filter would blow a crater in the substrate, so I placed a rock under it which dispersed the inbound water over a greater area. Problem solved. The down side is that you end up with a lump of plastic in your aquarium which isnt very asthetically pleasing :-(

Lily pipes are said to be the best at dispursing water evenly, ADA sell them, here but as with everything ADA its expensive. JBL sell a cheaper alternative both from AE.

If you like the ADA ones there is this ebay seller selling cheaper both ADA one and copy ADA ones.
