in the guys defence, he was reluctant to sell, he wanted to wait till they were around 1.5", but i pestered him for them as i was desperate to get something.
It's not the size of the tank in relation to the filter that's relevant; it's the bioload placed on the filter by the fish. We're talking about (well, we will be eventually) 15 3"-4" Mbuna being kept in a 180 litre tank. That's very overstocked (standard for Mbuna) so it will need massive biological filtration to keep the water safe for the fish (again, standard for Mbuna).balajake said:IMO a ex1200 is more than enough on a 180 l tank
