It's not the size of the tank in relation to the filter that's relevant; it's the bioload placed on the filter by the fish. We're talking about (well, we will be eventually) 15 3"-4" Mbuna being kept in a 180 litre tank. That's very overstocked (standard for Mbuna) so it will need massive biological filtration to keep the water safe for the fish (again, standard for Mbuna).

just to make it clear, 15 is over stocked but thats the recommended number.?
 
 
I have decided to use my 2nd tetratec pump, as i like them and the other works fine, so am happy to have too running
