2 mildly fin nipped fish and one seriously thrashed dragon goby(he had a clear bit into his dorsal side flesh, not just fin nipped).
The fish should heal fine and the pufffer is in my spare 10gallon for now.

Ive read alot of success stories of figure 8's with dragon gobies and guppies and such, but i got a mean one, so just remember the risk if you try to communitize them.

I think the trick is with speed. Puffer fish are not fast fishes, and even as a ambush predator It still lacks the speed. I have 3 dwarf puffers with 5 zebra daino's and I find them as great tank mates! They help me block there line of sight with each other and there about 10x the speed of them. So far the daino's have been doing a few swim by taps to them almost like they are making fun of how slow they are ! :)

BE CAREFUL hillmar77!!! Dwarf puffers are not meant to be with other fish besides ottos and shrimp (if your puffer isnt a shrimp eater, or if he is keeping them in for food). I have a dwarf puffer of my own and occasionally if he gets spooked, he will spaz and fly across the tank! Most of the time when this happens, alot faster looking then a Danio! You might wake up to find a Danio dead or part of its tail missing! You may have the rare case that your puffers arent as aggressive as they all have different tempermants, but just be weary about your choice in tank mates!

Sorry if this is all repeat information to you, but im just trying to help!

Thanks for the heads up! Everything seems pretty good at the moment, the most aggression I've seen from these little guys is during feeding! But only to each other! Actually a few of my daino's are going up to the dwarf puffers and taking there bloodworms right out of their mouths! The daino's are exhibiting more aggressive behavior then my puffers!
As for speed.... I've seen my puffer go after each other during feeding but they are fast, but the zebra daino's are in a whole new level when it comes to speed! I call it berserk speed! Lol

I had the same problem with my GSP and my dragon gobies but after he was seperated for a week I reintroduced him and things have been [erfect since June and no more split fins , the dragon gobies have got their fins back and they were in a mess

really? makes me sound hopefully but the figure 8 is not going back in lol. I have two dragon gobies, one dragon goby and my PSG had fins nipped. My other dragon goby had his caudel fin hit, one of his pectorals half gone and a massive chucnk taken out of his back which i seriously thought hit the spine and would cause death, and all this damage came from one puffer in a period of 24 hours. So im not gonna risk it. My dragon gobies are starting to have territory disputes now though, they each own about half of the tank real estate and get along with my spiney eel and gobies :)

i'm keeping a figure 8 with 6 bumblebee gobies with great success. no interspecies aggression at all. the gobies quarrel amongst them selves and my puffer just leaves them alone. he's the friendliest fish i've ever had. i had another figure 8 that wasn't so friendly, so it really is the individual puffer. its always a risk, but it does pay off sometimes.
