i see the tube. But its not a regular betta. Thats gotta be a female plakat. That is not a veil tail betta.
how can you tell, female bettas wont take on the long VT that the males display. Female VT bettas usually have short fins.
look at Cutecotten on the first page. Then look at that. Look at all the other VTs in this post. That one is not a VT. Its looks to much like a plakat to be a VT.

wrs, you think so? I'd love it if she is. :) I'm never sure how to tell what kind of tails females are. I'm confused because I see different shapes out there, and they're all supposed to be veils. There's a blue one in one of my usual stores that I've been eyeing for weeks, I chose this red girl over her, but I'm still very tempted to get her. I just don't have space, my tanks are already overcrowded with guppy fry that are still too young to sell.

Anyway, I'm curious about this blue girl, because her tail is in the shape of a spade. Even, not lopsided like other veil girls I see around.

As for mixing with boys, I did allow Princess (the red girl) to spend a minute or so with the boy she wasn't interested in, as I heard that on rare occasions, some boys and girls get along. They ignored each other. But I didn't dare leave them alone together.

the blue ones a spade tail then.
Oh, I didn't realize there was such a thing. I like it, I think I'll go see if she's still there, hehe...

I looked around and saw roundtails, looks like it's another possible type the red girl could be...
