From the pictures they look more like a common ancistrus :sly:
Probably wrong but looks great, how much you selling them for? :p

Deff Bristlenose plecs, classic white tips to the tail. I have a herd of the little monkeys too.

My male did the same.. made his own cave under bogwood, and not seen again for ages..lol

Young bristlenoses don't have bristles, nor females. I thought bristlenose is common ancistrus.

my sisters pleco's use to breed and not many of the pleco's survived to be big, they cant breed anymore as the dad died :-(

Lovely pics too  Do they all stay in one place like a big happy family??

the thing to watch with them is that females can get bristles too... around the lip but NOT up the nose.

We were breeding them for ages but sold the breeding pair when we moved house (along with all the fry as the upkeep of them during the move would have been silly) My sister had one and parents had 2...

Our female had no bristles - Male had loads... the ofespring that my parents had have both developed bristles on the lip but not up the nose - so we just got them a male :)

My sisters is a male - no doubts :)

the brisltes will start to show on fish from 1.5 - 2" onwards - I say this as depenting on feeding and the enviroment they grow at different rate and may not be big enough after 6 months if they are in cooler water and or in a tank with lots of competition for food.
