Feeding/Cleaning time....

well i always wondered if plecos have teeth? or something?

see i am planning on getting a pair of bristle nose to my new tank BUT...i am afraid of onething....

will they suck my arms when i clean the tank? i mean i think some plecs have teeth do bristlenose?

I'm not sure about this ... however, I dont think there is Anything to worry about at all. I've got 3 tanks with bristlenose plecs in it ... and in all 3 of them the plec will make sure to stay as far away from me as possible!! They're quite shy and will not come near you at in in my experience.

Yeah, most fish are going to stear clear of the arms in their tank. I have never heard of anyone's pleco sucking on arms when cleaning or otherwise interacting in the tank. Maybe they'll bump into your arm as they try to escape you, but they aren't going to come and <Dracula>Suck your blooooood!!</Dracula>.

Pleco's are so scared of humans its not funny!!!
you put your hand in and they will stay as far away as possible.
So no. They will not suck on your arms
