I have a pair of topaz cichlids (Archocentrus septemfasciatus) swimming pretty in my tank right now, and I'd really like to keep it that way. However, I'm going down away for a full 7 days, and have no automatic fish feeder or anything like the sort. My professor who gave me them to observe said it'll probably be fine (they're both adults, at around 3.5-4"), but are there any other options? I've been feeding them some live and pellet/stick foods. What would you do, I guess?

They will be fine for 7 days, just do a water change before you go and one when you get back and it will all be hunky-dory.

As shroob said, they will be fine for 7 days. There are automatic feeders on the market, but sometimes they dump too much food into the tank and pollute the water.

This is the best thing to do. Auto feeders either underfeed or overfeed.
