Some sites say that you should feed your south American puffer fish snails or his/her teeth will get to big and you have to clip them every 4-6 months. is this true? and if it is true were would i have to go to get little feeder snails.

ps: how the #&$@ would you clip a fishes teeth???

i think its dwarf puffer fish that don't have this problem but yes your correct,
and triming them is no easy feet.
involves sedating them (if you want it to be easier)

something that will grind their teeth away is needed.
good luck :)

thank you, i just have to find a place to buy feeder snails. there are some big aquarium stores around were i live. I will check them out

Feeding them snails is important to their diet, as well as taking care of their teeth. It's not that much of a problem either from my experience. Oh, and welcome to the forum :)

were do u keep the snails?? in a little tank of watter??
and is it expensive to keep buying snails??

Most fish stores will give you those tiny snails for free, but it's easiest to just breed them yourself. With a nice little tank of their own with a little bit of heating they'll usually breed like rabbits.
