Thanks everyone for the help, my tank is healthy now and appears to be ich free.  I continued using the ich medicine several days after I saw the last of it.  Will keep an eye out in the future for these problems.

My betta is now happy and healthy!

Also the temperature is a little warm naturally since I keep the tank upstairs in Southern Texas, the thermometer reads a little bit over 80 degrees.  Hopefully this will discourage the ich from being able to breed.

I also have the tank cycled, I think maybe the bio-load got a little too high, I'm going to keep this one pretty much as a betta tank and take out the tetras.  I am going to just keep the betta plus my little snails that do a beautiful job of cleaning the glass for me !

Well like everyone said, wrigglers don't cause ich and is likely to cause any other disease. The water they're in or the current tank water parameters though, that would be in question.

Anyways good luck! :)
